Aghosh UK (Charity Reg No. 1178778) is dedicated to alleviating poverty in Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) through a strategic partnership with Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, a community-driven relief NGO with extensive outreach across Pakistan and AJK.

Role Summary:
As the Fundraising Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial sustainability of our charity. Your primary focus will be to cultivate meaningful relationships with high-value donors, partners, and community stakeholders to optimize fundraising outcomes. You will manage the complete donation lifecycle including identification, engagement, solicitation, and stewardship of donors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, research, and engage new revenue streams.
  • Expand donor base by exploring networks and sectors, and securing new prospects.
  • Design and execute personalized account plans for each supporter, including financial reporting.
  • Foster enduring relationships ensuring meticulous and consistent donor stewardship.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and major donors.
  • Collaborate with broader fundraising networks and communities to pinpoint engagement opportunities.
  • Organize, manage, and evaluate fundraising events.
  • Support, guide, and appreciate our volunteers.
  • Undertake occasional paid overseas travel for donor engagement and project evaluations.
  • Perform additional duties as directed and agreed upon with the Executive Director.
  • Compile project proposals, conduct quality assurance checks, and present finalized proposals to donors while maintaining comprehensive project records and completion reports.
  • Document all fundraising activities and events, ensuring visual storytelling through photographs.

Person Specification:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience; prior experience in a faith-based charity is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills for building enduring relationships.
  • Demonstrated success in the event and project management.
  • Ability to manage a demanding workload effectively.
  • Strategic, innovative, and forward-thinking approach.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and basic financial reporting.
  • Organized, punctual, with a knack for multitasking.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Experience in a fundraising team environment is desirable.
  • Regional experience in London is preferred; North and Midlands experience also valued.
  • Willingness to travel and attend events as needed.
  • Prior engagement with high-net-worth donors and ability to advocate for AGHOSH’s mission passionately.

KPIs and Targets:

Financial and non-financial targets will be detailed during the interview process, including expectations around networking and lead generation.
