Gaza Emergency Medical Appeal
Shaykh Haytham Tamim, a renowned scholar and teacher, founder of Utrujj, and advisor and consultant on Islamic finance and Shariah, supports the work of Aghosh UK and PIMA (Palestine International Medical Aid) to provide urgently-needed humanitarian assistance and emergency medical aid and Mobile Health Units (MHUs) for Palestinians who remain trapped and besieged in Gaza.
Medical Crisis in Gaza
Indiscriminate airstrikes and continuing fuel blockades on Gaza have destroyed and severely incapacitated the public health infrastructure, including critical care transportation. The British Red Cross states that 85% of the population of Gaza has no access to health care.
Shaykh Haytham addresses the urgent need for ICU ambulances, Mobile Health Units (MHUs) and other emergency medical aid and support for the people of Gaza, and he invites you to add your support.
A humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza
More than 100 days of airstrikes, bombings and ground raids on Gaza have created a humanitarian disaster on an unprecedented scale:
The critical need for ICU ambulances and MHUs in Gaza
Since the start of the attacks on Gaza, Aghosh UK has been working with partners including PIMA (Palestine International Medical Aid) and Alkhidmat Foundation to urgently raise funds for Mobile Health Units (MHUs) and ICU Ambulances, as well as other medical supplies and trauma kits. As these services are mobile, they can reach and treat people who cannot access a hospital. MHUs are equipped with medical staff and supplies, and they can provide emergency medical aid, including oxygen, ventilators, and treatment for the critically injured and wounded.
